Tulan-sified

Damn tulan wey..:

• When the traffic lights at the Jalan P.Ramlee junction goes green only for like 5 seconds before it turns red again. So tulan especially on Fridays when there's serious gridlock and only one car can pass through.
  
• When I ordered McD's delivery and they only passed me chilli sauce packets with the food. What about those people who love tomato sauce
  
• When the coke light i ordered with my McD's meals are flat.
  
• When i drive behind huge vehicles i.e.Trucks, buses, 4WDs cos I can't see what's in front of them.
  
• When we go to a nice restaurant and they don't serve our meals at the same time. So what do I do when my partner eats? Count the number of napkins on each table?
  
• WhenI go to people's blogs and suddenly shocked myself when some random song starts to play. Super irritating.
  
• When BigB sleeps at 8pm on a Friday night.
  
• When I streamed my favorite drama and found out right at lunch time, that the video doesn't work even though i checked half hour before that to make sure it's alright.
  
• When the auntie at the fruit stall take ages to give me back my RM3 change cos she was too busy telling some grandmother story to the auntie making coffee.
  
• When the hairstylist cannot take hints that I'm not interested in their products / treatments.
  
• When the toilet floor is so damn wet because some people do not know how to use the bidet properly.
  
• When it rains or birds shit on my car right after it is washed.
• When they ran out of yee mee at the steamboat place.
  
• When people walk super slow and are aimless in shopping malls.
  
• When the hot water dispenser at my office doesn't work, making my coffee looks yucky and taste icky.
  
• When I go back to the bedroom after my shower and realised i forgot to take out my contact lenses from my eyes.
  
• When i have to fight with the crowd and can't find parking to eat at my favorite nasi lemak shop.
  
• When it rains heavily at 5pm on a weekday = jam.
  
• When i have an opportunity to go to the next lane but suddenly a few motorcyclists started honking because they need to drive through. And the window of opportunity to crossover is gone.
  
• When i can't find Peanut's Avent pacifier cos the damn thing is transparent but that's the only pacifier she likes to suck to sleep.
  
• When i want that thing i saw online sooooo badly only to find out it's out of stock.
  
• When i still can't fit into my jeans and my tops seems shorter.
  
• When we drove all the way to that dvd shop to get a stack of my haven't yet watched movies only to find it closed.
  
• When all i want to do is get out of the office and go home, but the lift JUST have to stop at every freaking floor.
  

Phew, so many things to be tulan-ed about.

Maybe, I'll have a list of things to be grateful of next.

An afternoon at Josie Posie's

Oh hi everyone!! How was your weekend??

Our Sunday afternoon was spent at Josie Posie's together with the Wangs. Well, actually both Posie & Mrs Wang wanted to see Peanut since the last time they saw her was during her full moon. So plans were made, BigB was booked, frozen curry puffs were bought (by Posie), SLR camera readied (by Mrs Wang) and all of us converged at Posie's at around 3pm.

Kai Xin

Hello everybody let's all do a good deed today!!!

I found this on someone's blog a few days ago. Rather than me explaining to you all, I will copy and paste for you all to see.

Their daughter Loke Kai Xin was diagnosed with biliary atresia at 3 months old and a Kasai procedure was done in February then. Unfortunately, the procedure did not cure her condition and was advised liver transplant as her last and only option.

Due to her weight, she was advised by University of Malaya Specialist Centre (UMSC) to seek medical help from Singapore. After the first round of pre-assessment at National University Hospital S’pore (NUH), Eric's liver artery is too short and narrow if the surgeon cut out the left lobe of the liver. Although there is no risk for Eric but it will lead to future complication and the result will not be good for Kai Xin. Huey Jing went thru all major pre-assessment and found to be a favourable donor prior to the rest of the assessments to be done at a later date.

At the moment, Kai Xin's current weight is 7.2 kg inclusive of water in her tummy and they need to get Kai Xin to gain her weight to 8kg before the liver transplant team can arrange the date to have the transplant done. Kai Xin is staying in UMSC as they need to use a feeding pump to feed her gradually during the night (less milk volume but increased feeding frequency) plus maintaining her health level to be as good as possible.

The total cost including post-operations and follow up expected to be at the region of RM500k (liver transplant and pre-assessment SGD200k, post ops, follow ups etc) or more due to her age. This amount is just too high for them to bear in full moreover they've spent more than RM50k up till now for Kai Xin's medical expenses; therefore they are appealing for help. As of last week, the figure had barely touched 10% of the amount needed. Hopefully with their plight highlighted in Sin Chew Jit Poh, the desired amount can be met.

This is definitely a genuine case and isn't Kai Xin such a cutie pie? *heart melt* I don't know them personally but it's very sad lor, with what's happening to her. I cannot imagine what her parents must be going through. Must be a very traumatic, scary, worrying experience.

Anyway, what i'm trying to say here is, if you guys are able to, try to donate something k. i already did. Doesn't have to be a big amount. Sikit sikit lama menjadi bukit right? After all, if we can spend RM50 or RM100 on a dress or a pair of shoes or just for dinner, why not forgo the pair of shoes this week and contribute your money to something good and worthwhile. After all, we can always make back the money again. And let's all pray together for her well-being.

Peanut power

Oooooo Peanut has slept through the night again!!! For the past two weeks, she's been sleeping through the night on and off. Thank you God for letting me sleep more!! *chicken dance* I know I shouldn't be happy yet though cos there's a chance that she'll revert back to her old ways. But twice in a week is good enough for me! :) :)

Nowadays she's sleeping earlier, like around 9:30pm. But she'll usually get very cranky before she sleeps. Read: wailing her heart off. My heart really crumbles when i see her pitiful cry because sometimes I don't know what she wants. Is she hungry? Is she sleepy? She wanna poop? Her stomach has wind? She just wants me to carry her? She wants her pacifier? Sometimes I really don't know and all I can do is to carry her around and try to respond to each of the above to see what she really wants.

But she's quite a fast sleeper. I just need to lay her down in her crib, put her fave pillow between her face and arm, stick the pacifier in her mouth and she'll conked out.

Oh yea, did i mention that she no longer sleeps with us?? Another milestone. We've decided to put her in her crib on the day i found myself covering her fully with our comforter. phew, luckily I realised it immediately. And not to mention the day BigB scratched her lightly on her head while all of us were asleep. And she likes to move around too, like a snake. Sometimes she can do a 90 degree turn taking up 60% of the bed, leaving us at the edges of our bed. And we also want to put her back into the crib before she can start rolling over. So yeah, back to da crib!!!

I've also bought her some Dr Seuss & Winnie the Pooh books . Some nights I'll read to her before she sleeps. Don't think she understands but at least she tried to look interested when i read to her hehe She's now drinking 7oz of milk. We probably need to get bigger bottles soon. But her intervals between each feed time is no longer 3 hours. it's now 4 hours, sometimes 5, and longer at night. And she's smiling more often, babbling and gurgling and making little yelps when we're chatting with her. So cute I wanna hug her tight.

Anyway, apparently this girl only asked for 3 stars, but the tattoo artist did 56 stars for her and she didn't realised it because she fell asleep. And now she's really unhappy with the tattoo artist and is suing him because she claims the tattoo artist misheard her. *roll eyes*

What bullshit ...seriously. I really think she's lying. Someone should call her bluff. Don't tell me you can fall asleep when a needle is poking at your face? What more a hundred times or more? And she dares to sue some more haih...*shakes head*

3 months!!

Peanut a.k.a Ah Pui a.k.a Ah Bie a.k.a Eva is 3 months old!!! So many names hoh!! Sometimes I confused myself when I'm talking about her to someone. Like how I'll accidentally refer her as Peanut when i talk to my in-laws, who have no idea about the existense of this blog ( i think) and have no inkling that i've named her after a plant. Or how I lawak lawak call her Ah Pui...cos she's really an ah pui lor! At 3 months old, she's already 6.6kg. A bit big for a girl, though the doc did assure us parents that she's fine; not overweight. She's just slightly above average la, at the higher end of the chart. It's okay la, i'm also ah pui lah. Like mother like daughter.

Talking about my weight, i think my fats have become cement inside me. Immovable, irregardless of how little rice i'm eating. Siens seriously, but i shall not give up! *full of determination*

Wah i'm typing on the bed now, feeling so sleepy. How like this?? Every day i come home i'll feel so tired, shoulders aching, eyes wanna droop to sleep, probably from sitting in front of the computer far too long. I need a seriously. damn. good.massage!!! STAT! Sigh. Anyway, i just bought a bag online. Can somebody stop me?? I think i have an addiction. Need to go to some online-shopaholics-anonymous group.

Most people (99% la actually) will say Peanut resembles BigB more. But look at her left eye!!! Got double eyelid okay!! Just like mine. Never mind the fact that her other eye is single-lid but at least one little part of her looks like me *tears of joy running down cheeks*

A day in the life of me

Every morning (weekdays), I will wake up using the alarm on my mobile phone. It's set at 6am, a seriously inhuman hour to wake up. And i will usually snooze for another 15 mins.

*sigh* time to wake up to work..

Then I'll turn to check Peanut to see wot is she doing..Most of the time she's still sleeping.

Then it'll be time to take my "healthy stuff". Chlorella pills and Wheatgrass juice. Taste alright...not that icky, and neither is it yummy. Oh wait, how can healthy stuff be yummy.

Anyway...next!!

At this point, I'll be rushing off to shower, brush my teeth and quickly change into my clothes. All hopefully before Peanut wakes up. At this point of time, BigB is usually still sleeping. *humph* Sometimes he'll give me a grin or a peace sign. Wat la. I'm rushing and he's still enjoying his time in bed.

Then i'll quickly put on some make up.

I'll then bring Peanut down, grab my work bag, make myself a cup of coffee to go so can stay awake while driving and zoom out of the house!

The jam. I hate,hate,hate this part of my day. Sometimes I wish I'm King Kong so I can stomp and kick all these cars away and take 3 more steps and i'll be at my office.

Anyway...

I'll usually reach my office around 8am. Siens. So early. So go toilet first.

Our newly renovated "hotel standard" toilet. Makes going toilet a MUCH better experience.

Then make myself a second cup of coffee and go online.

Then i'll *ahem* work till 1pm then lunch time. Woooohoooooo!! Means, "Boys over flowers" or Lost or Gossip Girl!

Made myself feel better by starting on a new diet regime. Cutting down on my calories!

Then work work work some more.. & occassionally talk 'about work stuff' with Taurus till bout 5:30pm...and what time is it???Time to go home!!!!! Yipeeeeeeee!!!! Same pictures as on the way to work. Jam Jam Jam. Still wanna be King Kong.

Reach home and da first person i'll see is Peanut. *smooch smooch* and give her a rub down while changing her into her pyjamas.

Then I'll wait for BigB to come home which is usually around 9pm so we can have dinner together. How to lose weight when i have dinner so late??!! *double haihhh*

Once dinner is over, I'll play with Peanut for a bit, give her her last feed at 11pm and tuck her into bed.
