You know you are wrapped around...

Peanut's little finger when:

  • You changed your Astro package to include her cartoon channels.
  • You wake up at 2am, 3am, 4am, 5am without complaining
  • she regurgitates up her milk all over your clothes, her clothes, the newly changed bedsheets and you never once flinched or get mad.
  • she kicks you in the face when she sleeps and you never complain about the pain
  • you go out shopping all day and you only bought stuff for her and nothing for yourself and yet you still feel satisfied and happy
  • she does the number 2 and has poo all over her clothes and yet you still console yourself by saying "at least it doesn't smell so bad"
  • it's 5:30am and you can still catch some snooze before you get ready for work but you choose to play and sing to her instead.
  • you brush your teeth immediately after eating petai so that she won't smell it on your breath when you kiss her
  • you sing nursery rhymes out loud to her despite knowing your singing is not so good and that the people around you might be snickering at your lousy vocals. And you don't give a damn.
  • she screams and laughs so loud you think you're going deaf but all you can think off is "maybe she can become Taurus's future karaoke kaki".
  • you drink coffee round the clock just to stay awake and be more alert when she wakes up in the middle of the night.
  • you look forward to go home after work everyday just so you can bathe her and spend some time alone together.
  • she gives out a loud burp and you tell everyone to excuse her for burping like a man.
She is playing me real good. oh yeah.

The fever that was

Peanut was down with fever last Thursday. It scared me enough to take emergency leave from work on Friday just so that I can monitor her temperature, which reached 38.9 celsius that morning.

And me being, Worry Queen, is very glad for the Braun ear thermometer that i got just the day before cos that thing can give you a very accurate reading at super duper speed, compared to the normal thermometer which you put under the armpit as it takes around 1 minute to tell you the temperature. Not very good for people who are super kan cheong. And I think I must have checked her temperature every 10 minutes that whole day. Definitely a must-purchase for all the Worry Queens out there! We also brought her to the pedaetrician, who told us she had a viral infection, and was given paracetemol.

My honey bunny on Friday

My mum also told me of this remedy, where you take an egg and boiled it with some ginger in the pot. Once it's boiled, you peeled it off, and wrap it with a piece of hankerchief and drop a few drops (very minimal) of axe oil / eucalyptus oil on the hankie.

Then right, you need to rub the egg from the top of her head to her neck, and do this a few times until you've covered the whole head. Then you continue this with the whole body. From the shoulder to the tip of her fingers, and from her neck to the tip of her feet. Can only rub down i.e. cannot go from leg to the shoulder, or from tip of fingers to shoulder. This is supposed to eliminate the fever from the body.

I know this sound like hogwash but when you're worried and desperate to make the fever go away, you'll really do anything lor hehe and that's wot I did. Twice. By Friday evening, the fever was gone. Phew!! *rubs sweat off forehead*

Energized on Satuhday

We were still monitoring her on Saturday and because of that we had to miss Josie Posie's birthday steamboat lunch. *sorry Posie!!!!* Cannot take any risk, and I was still obsessively taking her temperature, but more like once every hour.

So... that was the weekend!!!

Keep rolling rolling rollin......

Yesterday, my BIL informed me that Peanut has finally rolled over while i was at work (must record down in case flens wanna use Peanut as a benchmark in the near future - 4 months 5 days) Good job Peanut, good job!! *pats Peanut's bouncy bottom* Now can you show me please?????!!

T__T

I have yet to see it. This is what will happen when you're working. You will miss certain milestones in her life.

Pics taken by my BIL

Apparently she was quite exhausted when she finally, fully rolled over. According to my MIL, she was panting real hard and didn't move for quite a bit after that. Wah, like mother like daughter. Do a bit of exercise also can pant like mad. I walk up one flight of stairs also I cannot tahan already.

How la wey!! I feel like i'm in need of a serious dose of exercise cos the weight is not falling off like how it falls off so easily for Posh Spice. But I dun have time to go to the gym! Serious!! I"m not making excuses!!

:(

And I'm really not looking forward to work tomorrow, cos I don't wish to talk to gold digger ear digger.

Short weekend updates

Yesterday, BigB and me went to redo my car's tinting at Ecotint. Been wanting to get a darker and safety film installed for quite a while already. Had been stalling for a while UNTIL poor Mei Li's car window got smashed by a dude on motorcycle, who then grabbed her handbag and rode off in rush hour traffic at 6pm last week. Bloody hell hope their balls fall off and rot and they'll be unable to procreate for the rest of their fecking lives.

Sigh, I don't even feel safe in my own country anymore :(

Did the tint here, their Subang branch. Don't dare to take up close, scared the scary looking tint installers will scream at me

Secretly took this pic. The waiting / observation room. Full of men's mags. Not a female magazine in sight. Guess their customers are mainly males la!! *grumble*

Anyway, the dudes at Ecotint installed a safety film where the girl there claimed that i'll take up to 15 hard bashings on my window before it breaks. So they took out my old tint, because this safety film can only adhere to glass. And after that, they stick the normal tint over it. I chose a reflective type tint so that it keeps more heat out, and also so that it's harder to look inside my car. So it's double layered la. But no worries, all JPJ approved!!!! Dem happy now, at least i will feel more safe and secure when I drive la, since i'm always stuck in traffic jams after work and always lots of motorcyclists around *scared* . T_T

Actually their service is good. The place is clean, fully air-conditioned, free drinking water available, and you can even sms the boss before you go there to get him to quote you the price. You just need to tell him your budget, type of car, and what you want to do. So at least you won't be shocked by the exorbitant amount when you reached there. And the boss even sms me after i reached home (he's not based at the Subang branch) to make sure i'm satisfied with it, and to remind me not to wind down my window for a week. Woooooo... great customer service lor!! *pleased*

And thanks to BigB for sponsoring! *your broke wifey is really grateful uhuk uhuk*

Scarf i bought online

Ate Chilli Pan Mee for lunch nearby as recommended by Pei Chyi. No pictures cos too hungry I forgot. Found out that it's the same branch in Kota Damansara which we used to frequent last time. It's super yummy lor!! Dem pedas and satisfying!! *slurppss*

Went to Subang Parade after that, to spend our time while waiting for the car to be done. All in all, we waited for 5 hours.

My studded gladiators. Favorite sandals of the moment. It's super comfy!

Went to Mothercare for Peanut's stuff cos got sales up to 60%!! When there's sales, there's me!!! They are my best friends wtf. How to resist kan!! All of the above for less than RM50. Super happy lor! And Peanut needs to stop wearing her cousin's hand me downs cos it's mostly blue and she still looks like a boy.

Bought Fudge's Salt-Spray at Shins. To give you that "got out of bed" look and volume. I was sold when i saw a picture of Nicole Richie next to it. Apparently she uses it also! And it smells of coconut!! Sigh..reminds me of the beach!! :) :) So Mei Li, if you see my hair a bit more poufy at work, you know why la!

Quite fruitful la yesterday.

This morning, we went to KLCC with Peanut early early in the morning, to avoid the human jam. Actually our main reason for going to KLCC is because the maid has been asking us about Petronas twin towers. Said she heard about them when she was studying her "maid course" in Cambodia. Whatever la, we thought it'll be nice to bring her there since she's not been out much since she got here 6 months ago, scared she'll go crazy being stuck at home the whole time. But really, she's pretty alright. Hardworking, very helpful, though forgetful at times, and hasn't given us any shit to deal with. Yet.

We didn't do much la, except walk around to buy some personal care stuff at Watsons and socks for Peanut at another Mothercare. Mothercare is my new fave place to go but only when it's on sales cos I'm cheap like that!! Had lunch at Madam Kwan's. Eh, i think the standard dropped already. BigB's nasi bojari portion is really small lor! It looks so measly and doesn't look appetising at all. He said its definitely smaller than last time because he can finish it this time and still didn't feel full.

My assam laksa. Okay only la. I think Little Penang's is better

Penaut slept through lunch. Phew!!

Oh oh, my Brother-in-law just proposed to his gf!! hehehe so happy for them. They can now start preparing for their wedding. I love weddings lor!!! Such a happy feeling. BUT only for people I know. Don't you hate going to wedding dinners of people you hardly know??

That's it!!! Have to go work tomorrow already!!! Boohooo i hate Mondays!

Muh Saturday

Sometimes Saturdays are best spent just doing nothing.

Waking up at 9am is a luxury for me which is what I did today. I could have stayed on in bed longer, but i could feel Peanut's jammies was a bit wet, so no choice, had to bathe and feed her. And we jumped back into bed after that!! It's a Saturday, so I try to "sleep in" by just chillaxing (new word i learned from the office, not good not good hate this word actually)..playing with Peanut, read my book, drink some coffee, channel surf, log onto twitter, basically lazing in bed till BigB wakes up at 12pm. Loves it.

Had to go to Bangsar today to return my books. Begining this year, i have started to rent my books instead of buying them, cos recession mah, have to save money. Books not cheap yo! I could have bought a mobile phone with the amount of money i spent on books last year. And BigB has been complaining about them cos it's taking too much space.

Anyway, i love this little book store. It's crammed with books, all kinds, and really up to date, and they stock up on books that I would really buy from Borders. Loads of chick-lits, biographies, historical, thrillers. And there's this really helpful lady who always recommends books that I really like. I think me and her can gel la wtf. *found new friend*

It's not those kind of rent-a-book store that only rents out comics and those romance books with pictures of hunks and damsel in distress types. I really hate those kind of books. Eeeeeshhhhiwww...Who reads them wey??!

On our way there. Nowadays, i have to sit at the back de, if Peanut is with me.

Are we there yet..? *sigh*

Bye bye books. The Marian Keyes's one is dem funny. I like!!

Peanut's stuff

Stopped at D'lish after. Must bring Peanut out somewhere once in a while. Don't want her to be anti-social (*cough* like her mother) in future.

Oo....chocolate cake wif ice cream + my fave ice lemon tea

Eee Mummy why do you still have pimples????

**********************

It's now 10:50pm. Peanut is sleeping. BigB is watching Wanted. Again. What is with him and watching the same movies over and over again?? Not sien one meh?? Got action scene also not so action anymore, cos you know that person is gonna get killed.

I'm trying to get him to bring me a cup of milo. or coke light. And something to munch. *hungry leh* Wish me luck!

Nite!!!

Tulan of the day: Stupid illegal parking attendant

Last Friday, me and BigB went to work together. So after work I went to pick him up since it's more convenient that way.

So as usual la, every time I reached his office, i had to wait for a while, and i had to park at this lane behind his office there. That day I thought it was my lucky day as there were two empty parking bays. So before me there was Indian dude who was parking his car, and i was waiting for him to park his car so i can park mine, since the empty spot is next to his.

The moment he parked, he came out of the car and started directing me into my parking spot. I thought wah this dude is so nice, help me to park in this cramped space. or maybe he thought i'll scratch his car la, so no choice have to help me park. Not that i need help parking okie!! I learned how to drive for 6 months , with 4 months just learning how to park while my driving tutor leaves me and will go chit chat with his friends or read newspapers at the corner. *sad*

Anyway, after i finished parking my car, he suddenly whipped out this receipt book from his front pocket and showed me all five fingers and said "RM5!!!!"

*&^%$#$%

He's actually those illegal parking attendant / jockey thugs.

*Smacks head* Sometimes I need to remind myself to not be so gullible at times. This is a dog eat dog world, not Alice in Wonderland, where got people so nice help you to park your car rite? Of course I refused to pay the RM5. Simply go and charge me RM5. It's just some back alley okie, NOT Pavillion or Rodeo Drive and BigB is gonna come down in less than 10 mins. I just drove off after that. I rather make rounds and waste my car petrol rather than give my money to that fella.

*angry.*
